Based in the world capital of human rights, the Martin Ennals Foundation is committed to raising awareness of human rights issues among the youth of the Canton of Geneva. To this end, starting in 2019, the Martin Ennals Foundation partnered with the Department of Public Education (DIP), Amnesty International Switzerland and True Heroes Films to set up its Education Project “Defending human rights, abroad and at home”.

The goal of our project is to familiarize students with the concept of human rights and the causes promoted by our Defenders. Students participate in workshops to learn about what can be done to uphold fundamental rights in Switzerland and around the world and how to become advocates for human rights themselves. They also meet Martin Ennals Finalists and attend the Award Ceremony.
