Andrew Andrea is Officer in Charge within the Private Sector Section, OCHA. He was formerly Associate Director at the World Economic Forum building a strategic approach to collaboration with academics and the world’s leading Universities . He has 20 years of experience in humanitarian activities in the non-profit sector and United Nations agencies where his responsibilities have included, fundraising, information and knowledge management, branding, media relations, crisis communications and specific project campaigns. From 2000 – 2012 he was Director of Communications at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, the world’s largest armed conflict mediation organisation. Between 1998 and 2000 he helped develop the Health Intelligence Network for Advanced Contingency Planning at the World Health Organisation, and between 1995-1998 designed and launched the world’s most comprehensive information system for the coordinated response to emergencies and disasters within the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). He is also a Certified Professional Facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators.
