December 15, 2015

The Martin Ennals Foundation (MEF) is extremely concerned about the burning of Joint Mobile Group’s offices in Chechnya and the detention of and threats to their staff. Below are selected media reports as well as reports issues by Members of the Martin Ennals Jury.

The Russian NGO JMG was formed after the murders of human rights defenders in Chechnya, and was selected as the Martin Ennals Award Laureate for 2013. The MEF urges the Chechen authorities to ensure that the Joint Mobile Groups can work safely in Chechnya.
